4.) DEE FORD MAKES AN IMPACT

The Chiefs pass rush was effective today, combining for a total of four sacks and several batted balls at the line of scrimmage.

Tamba Hali had an excellent sack forced fumble that was recovered by Miami but, it was fun to see Hali beat his former teammate Branden Albert a couple times today. Houston played really well too. How in the hell did Tannehill get the ball out when Justin Houston destroyed him like that? Crazy play.

But where I was most impressed was from rookie first round pick, Dee Ford.

On 3rd-and-17 from the Miami 38 yard line late in the second quarter, Ford blew off the ball and got to Tannehill which disrupted the throw and stalled the Dolphins drive. Then later in the fourth quarter, after Knile Davis had just fumbled, the Dolphins had a 4th-and-1 hand off that was stopped by Ford off the backside. He did a great job of getting down the line of scrimmage and making the play.

Seeing Ford finally making a difference gives you serious reason to think that he could be very effective as the season progresses. If he continues to develop and make impact plays like that, the Chiefs defense might have a chance to win more games for them this season.
