60. SIT OF THE WEEK: Week 2 Prediction: Standard: 5/PPR: 9. WR. Minnesota Vikings. Cordarrelle Patterson. 1. player

Sit ‘Em #3

My SIT OF THE WEEK this week is Cordarrelle Patterson. Don’t get me wrong, I love Patterson‘s outlook for this fantasy season, and his skills are just tremendous and should rack up points for owners most weeks. But this week, I see him struggling bit time.

Patterson and the Vikings go up against the New England Patriots in week 2 which means that Darrelle Revis is coming to town. The Patriots pass defense is much improved from the last few years where injuries have piled up on them and became the Achilles heel of the Pats.

Pairing this with the pass rush that is supposed to be elite this year, I think Matt Cassel will struggle, which ultimately means Patterson will struggle as well.

The best thing about Cordarrelle is that the Vikings know they need to get him the ball in as many ways as possible, giving him 3 carries in week 1 that totaled for over 100 yards and a TD. Hopefully the try to do this again in week 2.

But I think he will struggle this week. The pass rush of New England will be effective and they will be forced to lean on Adrian Peterson which will take touches away from Patterson.

Consider him a good flex play for week 2.
