Bishop Sankey is widely considered to be the best rookie in fantasy football this year. He will most likely get 70% or more of the Titans carries in 2014, which means he does have a lot of potential. But in week one, I think he will struggle.
Sankey may have a good season, but in week one, I think that Chiefs defense is going to shut him him down.
Sankey and the Titans travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs and that tough defense that is known for being able to stuff the run with all those Pro Bowlers up front. The likes of Derrick Johnson, Tamba Hali, Justin Houston, and Dontari Poe will all look to “welcome” the rookie running back to the NFL with a rough first game.
The Chiefs have had some less than stellar games defensively against running backs, but Sankey being a rookie, I think he will be nervous as it is and may try to create something out of nothing and it will cause him to loose some yards against a very talented and speedy defense.
Sankey may have a good season, but in week one, I think that Chiefs defense is going to shut him him down.
Sankey should be on the bench in most leagues Sunday, but could be played as a risky flex option if need be.
