Fantasy Football Sleepers: Ten Deep Sleepers You Should Target
De’Anthony Thomas (DAT) is a player that is getting over looked and it’s easy to understand why. He’s mostly playing out of the backfield in Kansas City and he’s behind one of the best in the league, Jamaal Charles.
Still, the Chiefs are needing to pick up production from anywhere and DAT is a guy who falls into the category of deep sleeper. Most of his focus out of the back field will be on tosses, quick swing routes, and screens. In a PPR league (points per reception) DAT might be good for a game or two if you need to start him at flex.
At Oregon, Thomas was Mr. Everything for the Ducks offense, and special teams. His freshman season, he accounted for 18 touchdowns, the most by any freshman in Oregon history.
I can’t ever see him getting over 15 touches a game unless he’s just burning the defense or the Chiefs are that depleted in the back field. None the less, DAT has break away speed that makes him capable for a home run on any play.
He makes the list at ten because he is only a pick up in a desperate situation, especially early on.
