Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans checks in at #6 on my rookies list. Evans was the 2nd receiver taken in this year’s draft, where Tampa Bay took him with the 7th pick.

Evans and Manziel had quite the connection at College Station last year, where Manziel threw to him almost 70 times last year, including 12 times in the end zone.

While Evans will be getting balls from quarterback Josh McCown rather than Manziel, Evans should still have a quality year. Unfortunately, he won’t be the #1 receiver in Tampa. Veteran Vincent Jackson will still get the majority of the catches, but Evans will receive his fair share.

Evans is definitely a bench player for your fantasy team the first couple weeks, and that’s if you’re in a deep league and can afford to keep him on the bench. Evans has the ability to have a stellar season, but the stars need to align in Tampa Bay to make that happen.
