Coming out of Oregon State, Brandin Cooks has rookie of the year candidate written all over him. The Saints have been slacking at receiver since their Super Bowl run in 2009 (no offense, Marques Colston) and have been trying to find a legitimate big play guy to compliment Jimmy Graham.
With secondaries focusing mostly on Graham, Cooks will have plenty of opportunities to make plays. Sean Payton loves to use bubble screens, quick routes, and even hand-offs to his receivers, making Cooks one of the most intriguing PPR players in 2014.
Not to mention the fact that Cooks catches almost everything that’s thrown his way. In 2013, Cooks’ junior year of college, he lead the nation in receptions with 128 and scored 16 touchdowns. No wonder why the Saints traded up to get him.
Cooks is the answer to what the Saints lost in Darren Sproles and we all know how much Drew Brees loved to give him the rock. With Graham being the focal point, look for Cooks to get involved early and often in every single game, making him one of, if not THE, best sleeper picks in 2014
