Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is the #6 quarterback on my list. Newton is one of my favorite players in the league due to his big play ability and fun style of play.

Newton can make plays all over the filed. He’s arguably the best dual-threat quarterback in the NFL. He can run all over defenders, then make big pass plays the next minute. Those abilities him to be a Top 3 quarterback in 2013.

The problem with Newton is his lack of supporting cast. Receivers Brandon LaFell and Steve Smith left in free agency this offseason, leaving tight end Greg Olsen as Newton’s only familiar receiving target. While Carolina did go out and draft receiver Kelvin Benjamin and sign free agents Jason Avant and Jerricho Cotchery, Newton has not built up a rapport with anybody on the Panthers yet.

Newton may be a playmaker, but he will need some support. Newton will be a Top 10 quarterback, but it will be difficult to duplicate last year’s production.
