New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is the #2 quarterback on my list. Ever since leaving San Diego, Brees has been a Top 6 quarterback every year, including the #2 quarterback in 2013.
Brees’ favorite target, especially in the end zone, is tight end Jimmy Graham. It’s hard to blame him for that. But with a target like Graham who can make big plays and rarely drop the ball, Brees is already in good shape.
Outside of Graham, Brees will have Marques Colston, Kenny Stills, and first-round draft pick Brandin Cooks. Colston is a veteran player that is fairly consistent, and Cooks has the potential to be a big playmaker in the NFL in the near future.
You can go ahead and pencil in 5000 yards and 30 touchdowns this year for Brees. With the core he had last year, plus the additions made this offseason, Brees is in a good position to keep up his success.
