Two weeks later the Chiefs will host the Oakland Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium. The Raiders, despite being the Raiders, have potential this year. They acquired Matt Schaub during the offseason and drafted Khalil Mack in the first round.
I attended the Chiefs/Raiders game last year and had a blast. Both teams played well, but the Chiefs really came out swinging towards the end of the game.
For some reason there are a lot of Raiders fans in KC so if you go to this game, expect to have some awkward encounters with people donning black and silver jerseys. Last year they were fairly well behaved since the Chiefs defense kept picking off Terrelle Pryor, but if it’s a close game throughout expect some trash talking.
Tickets are around $30, which is a terrific deal. It should be a cold game, but Chiefs/Raiders games always prove to be exciting.
