NUMBER 50 of 100

Again, Leigh was all over Berry making the countdown and she once again, nailed it.

"Since being drafted with the fifth overall pick by the Chiefs in 2010, Eric Berry has been lights out on defense. His spot on the countdown is well deserved, as he finished the 2013 season with a total of 73 tackles, 10 defended passes, three and a half sacks, three interceptions (two going for touchdowns), and two forced fumbles (both of which he recovered). For Berry, this is his first appearance on the countdown since 2011 when he came in at number 93. He didn’t make it in 2012 due to missing the entire 2011 season because of being placed on injured reserve. Berry not making it on the 2013 countdown wasn’t too shocking either, considering the team only mustered two wins in 2012. Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin had nice words about Berry in the video (which you can watch by clicking here) and said that he thinks Eric Berry will be considered one of the best safeties to ever play in the NFL."

Berry is a dog, simple as that but, I do hear the other side of the argument from those that feel he’s over rated. Either way, there is no denying how important he is to the Chiefs defense.

The guy can line-up anywhere on the field and make an impact and for that alone, he deserves to make the top 100.
