6) Chase Daniel (Chiefs QB 2013-Present)

Okay this is the kind of situation I was referring to at the beginning of the countdown. Chase Daniel has only started one game in his career and it was with the Chiefs in 2013 so it’s hard to place him on this countdown. I put him at number six because he’s better than the ones previously mentioned, but we don’t know if he’s better than the other guys yet.

Chase was on fire in his lone start throwing for 200 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 59 yards on the ground. The Chiefs lost, but no part of that was Daniel’s fault.

Daniel has two years left on his contract so perhaps he’ll start another game in the near future. He has fellow Chiefs quarterbacks Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray to compete with during the offseason, but my guess is that he’ll still be the go to guy after Alex Smith.
