NUMBER 5: Willie Brown – Raiders
Arguably the greatest Raider ever, Willie Brown was an iconic player of his generation.
He’s double annoying to this list because he started his 15 year career in Denver. He accounted for 54 total interceptions in his Hall of Fame career (class of 1984) and played in in three AFL and six AFC championship games, as well as Super Bowls II and XI with the Oakland Raiders.
Brown also has one of the most memorable plays in Super Bowl history when he intercepted Minnesota Vikings’ QB, Fran Tarkenton and ran 75 yards for a game clinching touchdown.
Willie Brown was WAY before my time, but I still recognize that he was pretty damn good, and, pretty damn annoying for our Kansas City Chiefs. He makes my countdown at number 5.
