The other player who will be drawing big attention will be first round pick, Dee Ford. He was drafted 23rd overall and is considered a long term move for Kansas City. However, the Chiefs already have two All-Pro players at his position, so Ford will likely be used as a situation pass rusher. That doesn’t mean he won’t play a significant role this season.

Bob Sutton’s scheme requires multiple pass rushers on the field at one time as he showed very well in the first half of last season.

Though they won’t get too deep into the playbook this weekend, It’ll be interesting to see if they move Ford around a bit along the front seven. Coach Sutton has a lot of exotic biltz packages in which he likes to shake things up with the players.

Makes you wonder if the Chiefs will have Ford only stick to edge rushing, or test his pass rush skills from other areas of the field as well. Either way, I’m excited to see him in a Chiefs uniform for the first time.
