The Fix is in

How would  GM John Dorsey and company fix a Chiefs defense which had all of a sudden been shown to be the weak link on the team? In comes Dee Ford, Phillip Gaines, and Sanders Commings.

With the selection of Dee Ford,  Kansas City has addressed the obvious lack of depth in pass rushing players their defense so desperately needs. The team needs more than just Tamba Hali and Justin Houston.

The secondarys’ weaknesses are turned into strengths with the selection of speedy Phillip Gaines, which was the fastest corner in the entire draft.

Last but not least, the Chiefs brass know what they have in Sanders Commings. Clocking in at a blazing 4.41 40 time for a safety at the 2013 combine, Sanders displays excellent ball skills from his days as a center fielder playing baseball.

John Dorsey and Bob Sutton know that had Sanders not broken his collarbone he very well could have been the missing cog the Chiefs secondary needed to make a deep playoff push.

His infusion would have meant no more deep bombs being completed for 60 plus yards and would in my opinion, have changed the entire dynamic of the Chiefs secondary.
