Kansas City Chiefs Defense: The Weak Link

The 2013 Kansas City Chiefs undoubtedly made great strides from 2012 to 2013. The team has incorporated a new general manager, head coach, defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator, numerous other coaches and a plethora of new players on both sides of the ball was a huge undertaking in the last few years.

The team’s task was handled remarkably well as indicated by the drastic improvement in their win-loss, but for all of the improvements and feel good stories one could write about, the sting of their playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts left a very bad taste.
In fact it was the type of loss that can either make or break a team.
That all being said, what is the main cause for the late season collapse and what steps need to be taken to remedy the situation?
