LOLB- Bobby Bell, Justin Houston

MLB- Willie Lanier, Derrick Johnson

Linebacker is a position that holds arguably the greatest players in the franchises history.

Willie Lanier was a pioneer, becoming the first ever African American middle linebacker in professional football. Bobbie Bell was just a freak athlete with skills that no one had ever seen in those days of football. Having Justin Houston and Tamba Hali as your backups on the outside isn’t so terrible either.

Derrick Thomas, rest in peace, was an innovator to the prototypes we see at outside linebackers who rush the passer. Derrick Johnson is still making his name, but has only gotten better with age. D.J. will go down as one of my all time favorite Chiefs and I love the way he plays the game.
