WIDE RECEIVERS
TAYLOR:
- 130 games
- 410 receptions
- 7,467 yards from scrimmage
- 60 touchdowns
Otis Taylor was the first of his kind when you talk about size and speed. He was the original Calvin Johnson if you will. He is without a doubt the best receiver in Chiefs history and he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Kansas City isn’t known for having a rich tradition when it comes to receivers but, Taylor is at the very top if you asked me about all time greats.
PAIGE:
- 125 games
- 377 receptions
- 6,373 yards from scrimmage
- 49 touchdowns
People forget about Stephone Paige, mostly because he played for the Chiefs in arguably the worst time period of their franchise, the 80’s. Paige played for the Chiefs for 9 seasons and did so at a high level. His best season was towards the end of his career in 1990 when he caught 65 passes for 1,021 yards and 5 touchdowns. He finished with a career average of 16.8 yards per catch, proving he had a consistent knack of making big plays.
You could argue Dwayne Bowe here but ultimately, if you do the research, Paige would be the better choice here.
