Quite simply, James Shields is the Kansas City Royals’ sell sword.

Bron, always watching for a way to improve his status in life, was quick to step forward to be Tryion’s champion. He has performed very well in that capacity over time.

Shields, acquired for the price of the Royals’ crown jewel, Wil Myers, has also performed well in his new role as the ace of the Kansas City rotation. In 2013, plus early this season, Shields has been everything Dayton Moore could have hoped.

While you get the feeling Bron will eventually go where the money is, so will James Shields.

Tryion, in his present predicament, will be unable to afford Bron’s services any longer. The Kansas City Royals will never be able to afford to pay for Shields’ talent and leadership on the open market. Both Bron and Shields will be looking for a bigger payday.
