NED YOST AS TYWIN LANNISTER

Ned Yost‘s dugout stoicism would give him the leg up on playing the expressionless Lannister patriarch, Tywin. Add in Yost’s position of authority, and he is the only choice.

Tywin Lannister is a relatively small character in the literary series A Song of Fire and Ice, on which the TV is based. On HBO series, Lannister’s role is broader, but no less villainous. While Yost isn’t a villain, fans love to blame the manager for all of their team’s woes.

Lannister likes to think he is the ultimate puppet master, but like most baseball managers, things are really out of his control much of the time. He doesn’t know it. Lannister likes to rule his family and kingdom with an iron fist, but Yost seems to have more respect from his charges than fear.

Yost isn’t near as villainous as his GOT counterpart, but still, this is the role for him to play in our little production.
