Kansas City drafted defensive tackle Jerrell Powe and fullback Shane Bannon in the last two rounds of the 2011 NFL Draft. Powe was a sixth rounder (199th overall) and Bannon was a seventh rounder (223rd overall).

Powe didn’t play a whole lot during his time as a Chief. His rookie season he only played in one game, and in 2012 he was competing for the starting nose tackle job with 2012 first round pick Dontari Poe. Poe got the start and that limited Powe’s playing time significantly, especially with Poe playing as well as he was. Powe was released towards the end of the 2013 regular season and recently signed with the Texans.

Bannon was injured during the preseason and never played in a game during his NFL career.
