Kansas City Chiefs 2014 NFL Mock Draft 2.0: Selecting The Chiefs Six Picks Using A Simulator

ROUND 6: Wide Receiver, Kevin Norwood, Alabama

Now I know what most of you are probably thinking. Why take another receiver in the draft? I say why not? In a class this deep with receiver talent, and the Chiefs needing help on the outside, why not add another player in the later rounds like Kevin Norwood. This is the exact same pick I had for the Chiefs as their final in my original mock draft.

The 6’1″, 198 pound receiver is one of the most underrated receiving prospects in this draft class. Considering he started for one of the most high-profile programs in the country, he is viewed as one of the more polished players at his position. He quickly became A.J. McCaron’s favorite target in 2013, catching 38 passes for 568 yards and 7 touchdowns.

He made the most out of being a receiver in a run heavy offense of Alabama, translating to why he was unable to put up gaudy numbers last season. His ability to play the slot at his size is what made him so intriguing to me this late in the draft. He was available in all three mocks I did and I felt he was a solid choice for Kansas City with their final pick.

Remember, Kansas City has two 6th round picks and no 7th round picks in this years draft.
