Goodbye, Tyson Jackson

Farewell Song:

)

Since you’ve been gone Tyson Jackson, the Chiefs salary cap can breathe for the first time. Well, kind of. Jackson was Scott Pioli’s first pick when he selected him number 3 overall in the 2009 NFL Draft. Safe to say he never lived up to that money, yet, Pioli, now with the Atlanta Falcons, just gave Jackson a contract of 5 years, $25 million dollars. Are you kidding me?

Jackson has been solid in terms of run defense, but seriously lacks in the pass rushing department. The Falcons just over payed Jackson big time, and we all know that they will realize it soon enough.

Tyson Jackson, you’ve eaten up plenty of the Chiefs cap space over the last 5 years and I’m glad you’re able to continue doing so, just this time its for the Falcons. Farewell, Tyson Jackson, best wishes from the the Chiefs kingdom.
