Goodbye Jon Asamoah

Farewell song:

)

Asamoah had been a solid starter for Kansas City since he became their third round pick in the 2010 NFL draft. He played at a pro-bowl level, though he was never selected to one. He battled some nagging injuries in 2013 that left him sidelined after the solid play of Schwartz.

Asamoah has a great combination of size and technique, making him of the best young guards in the NFL right now. He’s 25 years old and entering the prime of his career. It’s a crying shame that the Chiefs couldn’t keep Asamoah due to the lack of space in the salary cap. Asamoah got a solid deal in Atlanta, where he is set to make $4.5 million per year.

Farewell Jon Asamoah, and don’t look back in anger. The Chiefs benched you because of injury and better play from Schwartzy. No hard feelings from Chiefs fans, so we bid you farewell.
