In 2012, the Chiefs drafted Dontari Poe with the 11th overall pick. Poe was labeled as a boom or bust in the draft so people had mixed reactions when Kansas City selected him.

Poe has proven he was worth the risk though, as he recorded four and a half sacks during his second season in Kansas City. Poe should only get better in the years to come, which is a scary thought for opposing offenses.

2012 wasn’t long ago so a lot of the players that Kansas City selected are still on the roster, such as Jeff Allen (second rounder), Donald Stephenson (third rounder), Cyrus Gray (sixth rounder), and Junior Hemingway (seventh rounder).

Stephenson filled in nicely on the offensive line and Hemingway caught two touchdown passes in the 2013 season.
