To an outsider, this may not seem like a very bold prediction. However, anyone who has been following the struggles of Mike Moustakas through his short three-year career would know what kind of feat this would be for him and how much relief it would bring to all of Kansas City.

Moustakas was once considered a top prospect of the entire Major Leagues. Now that he is set to start his 4th season, he is close to being considered a busted down veteran. You don’t get too long to prove yourself in professional baseball.  In 374 career games, “Moose” has a .244 average and only 37 career home runs.

Those numbers just won’t cut it for any team. Just recently, the Royals sent David Lough to Baltimore in order to acquire a backup plan in Danny Valencia. Moustakas now has the added pressure in knowing there is someone to replace him if he even struggles in the least bit. This will be Moustakas’ break out year, though. You can chalk it up, .275.
