OTHER GAME NOTES:
FIRST DOWNS: Kansas City 19, Oakland 26
TIME OF POSSESSION: Kansas City 25:53, Oakland 34:07
THIRD DOWN EFFICIENCY: Kansas City 4-9, .44, Oakland 7-14, 50%
TURNOVERS: Kansas City 1, Oakland 6
PENALTIES: Kansas City 8-91, Oakland 10-90
TOTAL YARDS: Kansas City 384, Oakland 461
It is hard to give any kind of bad grade to a team that scored 56 points and won by 25 on the road but the Chiefs did little well but get the ball into the hands of Jamaal Charles in the passing game, and coming up with 6 turnovers. It is not being overly critical to notice the obvious warts from this game and from the past few weeks, namely that Kansas City is struggling to stop anyone from moving the ball.
Let’s celebrate a fun win, an important win as the Chiefs clinched a playoff spot a year after going 2-14. Let’s be happy for a few days, but let’s keep in mind the issues this team still has.
