START
ALEX SMITH, QUARTERBACK, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
In the last two games, the Kansas City Chiefs have finally opened up the passing game a bit. Alex Smith has thrown for 293 and 294 yards in those games, and has thrown 125 passes over the past three games. The Chiefs are facing the Washington Redskins this week, who are ranked 27th in the NFL against the pass. Kansas City is looking to turn things around after a 3-game losing streak, so look for them to be aggressive this week passing the ball. Add in the fact the Chiefs defense has collapsed over the past few weeks, and we could be looking at another shootout.
This is Smith’s first appearance on this list as it has taken this long for the Chiefs passing game to become relevant. If you have been stashing Smith all season, this is the week to get him in your line up.
