Record: 9-2 (6-2)

Previous Ranking: 3

Last Week: OU 41, KSU 31

This Week: Bye

Next Week: Oklahoma State

OU is out of the Big 12 championship race and their bowl options are pretty much down to the Alamo Bowl or Cotton Bowl.

In a bit of an ironic twist, OU has a better shot at making the Cotton Bowl if they lose to Oklahoma State next weekend in Stillwater. A loss plus two Baylor wins would likely mean the Big 12 lands two teams in a BCS bowl game (Oklahoma State to the Fiesta and Baylor as an at-large bid). This would bump Oklahoma up to a the Cotton Bowl slot, which is currently occupied by Baylor.

If Oklahoma were to win, they would probably end up in the Alamo Bowl with Baylor going to the Fiesta and Oklahoma State going to the Cotton Bowl. All of this to say that there is a ton of football left to be played over the next two weeks.
