Texas Tech lacks depth, and it showing more now that they are playing more difficult competition. Part of the problem is the situation Kliff Kingsbury inherited from Tommy Tuberville, and some of it is because of the intense change of scheme Kingsbury has implemented.

So far Tech ranks fifth in the conference in recruiting according to Rivals and appears to be adding more speed across the board. This is going to be a fascinating team to watch over the next few years as Kingsbury gets more players on the roster who better fill the needs of his scheme.
