The Carolina Panthers defense continues to be one of the best kept secrets in football. The Panthers allow just 79.1 yards a game on the ground, the second best mark in the NFL. They also rank third in fewest total yards, right at 300, and the second fewest points a game at 13.3. Frank Gore may have a hard time finding daylight against this defense so maybe you consider going a different direction with your running backs this week.
It is always hard to sit one of the top backs in the league but sometimes the match up dictates just that. Carolina doesn’t allow many yards or touchdowns so Gore’s opportunities may be slight this week. If you have strong depth a running back, swap Gore out to your bench this week.
