7. West Virginia Mountaineers

Record: 4-5 (2-4)

Previous Ranking: 8

Last Week: WVU 30, TCU 27 (Overtime)

This Week: vs Texas

Next Week: at Kansas

A massive win for West Virginia and their bowl chances with an overtime victory over TCU. WVU now only needs two wins out of Texas, Kansas, and Iowa State to punch a bowl ticket – something that seemed very far away after their 37-0 loss to Maryland a month and a half ago.

One would think – THINK – West Virginia would be able to defeat the Jayhawks and Cyclones, the two worst teams in the Big 12. If the Mountaineers can pull that off and make a bowl game it would be tremendous momentum for a school that lost so much talent from last year’s team.
