7. Mississippi Rebels
Record: 5-3 (2-3)
Previous Ranking: 7
Last Week: Ole Miss 59, Idaho 14
This Week: Bye
Next Week: vs Arkansas
Three-straight home games against Arkansas, Troy, and Missouri, and a road game against Mississippi State to end the season? A nine-win season is not out of the discussion.
The thing about Ole Miss is how young they are. They start only five seniors – three on defense and two offensive lineman – and are about to have back-to-back top ten recruiting classes. The influx of talent and youth is impressive, and when you put it under the spotlight of a potential nine-win season then things get very interesting for Ole Miss’ future.
Ole Miss is going to be a handful next season in the SEC West.
