Previous Ranking: 4
Last Week: OU 38, Tech 30
This Week: Bye
Next Week: at Baylor (Thursday Night)
Oklahoma got the tough win they needed over a motivated Tech team. Their reward? A road trip to Baylor.
Blake Bell had one of his better games as Oklahoma’s starting quarterback given the opposition and the significance of the game. His 76-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Suanders are the types of plays he’s going to need to continue to make if Oklahoma is going to have a shot at winning the Big 12 title.
Aside from that play, OU managed just 173 yards through the air, but they did get 277 yards rushing. That’s a balance good enough to beat very good teams, but it is a balance that can only exist if Oklahoma as at least some kind of a threat to get big gains though the air.
Are those big plays going to be something Bell can consistently produce from here on out?
