6. Kansas State Wildcats

Record: 3-4 (1-3)

Previous Ranking: 6

Last Week: KSU 35, WVU 12

This Week: vs Iowa State

Next Week: at Texas Tech

One down, three to go to get bowl eligible.

It didn’t look like KSU was going to get that “one” until Tyler Lockett made a play in the back of the end zone to give the Wildcats a 14-12 lead heading into the fourth quarter. From there the ‘Cats ran away with it.

KSU has games against ISU (at home this week), TCU (at home), and Kansas (at Lawrence) still remaining on the schedule, with Texas Tech and Oklahoma also on the schedule. K-State is capable of winning all five of those games if they get the quarterback play they received in the fourth quarter from Daniel Sams and Jake Waters. When both of those guys are “on” they are probably the two most dynamic quarterbacks in the Big 12. The problem is getting the switch flipped.
