10. Iowa State Cyclones
Record: 1-6 (0-4)
Previous Ranking: 10
Last Week: OSU 58, ISU 27
This Week: at Kansas State
Next Week: vs TCU
Iowa State gave it the old college try in the first half, fighting back from a 21-0 deficit to get the game within a score at halftime. Quenton Bundrage had two touchdown receptions and DeVondrick Nealy had a touchdown run to get them there. There was a sense that ISU could at least keep the game interesting.
Then the second half happened.
ISU has been through a rough stretch in their last four games but things should start to ease up in the second half. The only guaranteed loss is at Oklahoma in three weeks, but the rest of the schedule features KSU, TCU, Kansas, and West Virginia. All of those games are winnable in one way or another. Don’t be surprised if ISU walks away with two wins in the Big 12 when all is said and done.
