Last Week: Vanderbilt 31, Georgia 27
This Week: Bye
Next Week: vs Florida (in Jacksonville)
A bad defense plus the injuries are starting to mount up for the Bulldogs.
Not enough can be said about how Georgia’s defense has undercut the season. They are allowing 35 points per game in conference play, and have forced only one turnover per game. Not getting the improved play on defense to make up for the all the losses on the defensive end has been a killer. An average defense is the difference between them being 6-1 (4-1) – they probably still lose to Missouri – and being where they are now, even with the injuries on offense.
It is a shame because the Bulldogs could have really pushed for a national championship this year had either health or a quality defense had come through for them.
