13. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Record: 3-3 (0-2)

Previous Ranking: 13

Last Week: Bye

This Week: vs Kentucky (Thursday night)

Next Week: at South Carolina

Continuing the game of the week theme…

MSU needs to take advantage of the fact that they are at home and they are the better team in terms of talent. In non-conference play MSU played very well on defense, and the offense that Kentucky is bringing to town is far more similar to those offenses than the offenses they’ve seen in SEC play.

Maximizing their advantages in the kicking game and on offense, and recapturing the defense that knocked around non-conference opponents should give the Bulldogs the advantage they are looking for.

Here’s one more thing, though:

If MSU loses to Kentucky then heads will roll. Expect a motivated team on the field Thursday night.
