Marlon Byrd is coming off a career year, so his price may be slightly inflated, especially for a 36 year old. He hit 24 home runs in 2013 for the Mets and Pirates, posted a .291/.336/.511 triple-slash, and played in 147 games. Averaging just over 100 games per year in the past three years, he’s hit .275/.320/.431.
He comes with injury risk, age risk, and collapse risk, but with a .750 OPS from 2011-2013, he has enough upside to warrant a look.
