Oklahoma State’s quarterback situation is a mess. After a lack luster performance from J.W. Walsh, Mike Gundy turned to Clint Chelf to jumpstart the offense. That didn’t work either.

Fortunately for OSU, TCU cannot score points without the aid of their defense or special teams, so the Cowboys were able to walk away with a 24-10 win. But the future is starting to look very murky for OSU.

Oklahoma State has only two sure wins ahead of them in the second half of the season: Iowa State and Kansas. The other four include Texas Tech, Texas, Baylor, and Oklahoma. Tech, the number 10 team in the nation according to the BCS, may be the easiest one of the four and that’s a road game.

Walsh is their best bet to win these games, but they are going to have to ground their offense to a certain degree if they want to be successful. Too many turnovers are happening out of the passing game because Gundy is asking to two quarterbacks who cannot pass the ball to the throw 40 times per game. A more balanced attack would put OSU in a better position to win some of these difficult games that are heading OSU’s way.
