14. Kentucky Wildcats

Record: 1-5 (0-3)

Previous Record: 14

Last Week: Alabama 48, Kentucky 7

This Week: Bye

Next Week: at Mississippi State (Thursday night)

Kentucky got a touchdown against Alabama. Moral victory achieved.

Attention now turns to a week from today (Thursday) for the epic battle that will be Kentucky v Mississippi State. Get the hype machines churning because this one may be remembered for centuries.

In an odd way this could end up being an entertaining game to watch. Both teams have something to play for in but from two different perspectives. Kentucky wants the win because it would be their first since beating Tennessee on November 24, 2011. MSU willing be trying to save jobs.

Everything is going to begin and end at the offensive line for Kentucky, which has been the worst at protecting the quarterback and is the anchor to the SEC’s worst rushing offense. Get quality play from that unity and maybe the Wildcats have a shot at pulling off the road win. Otherwise they may be staring down another winless season in the SEC.
