TEAMS IN LIMBO

16. Tennessee Titans

Record: 3-3

Previous Ranking: 12

No shame in losing to Kansas City and Seattle in back-to-back weeks. But with San Francisco coming to town this week and games against Indy (twice) and Denver still on the board, the Titans need to start pulling some of these games out or they’ll risk missing the playoffs.

15. Miami Dolphins

Record: 3-2

Previous Ranking: 14

Like Tennessee, Miami has to start beating some of these more difficult teams if they want to stay in the playoff hunt. New England and Cincinnati are on tap after Buffalo this weekend.

14. Philadelphia Eagles

Record: 3-3

Previous Ranking: 21

Philly vs. KC and Denver: 18 points per game. Philly vs. other four opponents: 32.5 points per game. Big game against Dallas this week.

13. Dallas Cowboys

Record: 3-3

Previous Ranking: 15

In consistency rules the Cowboys on defense as they’ve allowed 17 or fewer points three times and 30 or more points three times. Demarcus Ware and Jay Ratlif’s injuries may make finding that consistency more difficult.

12. Baltimore Ravens

Record: 3-3

Previous Ranking: 8

Since allowing seven touchdown passes to Peyton Manning in the season opener, Baltimore’s defense has allowed just 16 points per game.

11. Green Bay Packers

Record: 3-2

Previous Ranking: 7

Injuries are starting to mount up for the Packers. Do they have enough depth to overcome them?

10. Cincinnati Bengals

Record: 4-2

Previous Ranking: 13

Nothing inspires confidence like beating a team that started a practice squad quarterback by three in overtime. Cincy desperately needs Andy Dalton to start taking control of the season. His three touchdown performance Sunday was a good start.
