WASHING MACHINE OF MEDIOCRITY
22. Houston Texans
Record: 2-4
Previous Ranking: 18
Eventually, Houston is going to get average (at least) quarterback play and Houston is going to be very good. That may not be until 2014, but it’ll happen.
21. St. Louis Rams
Record: 3-3
Previous Ranking: 26
Rams got the win they needed by taking advantage of a mentally fried Texans team.
20. New York Jets
Record: 3-3
Previous Ranking: 17
Geno Smith had a 6.5 QBR against Pittsburgh. Oof.
19. Arizona Cardinals
Record: 3-3
Previous Ranking: 19
Arizona may have been better off tanking for Teddy Bridgewater or Aaron Murray than trading for Carson Palmer. They should still be able to get a good quarterback prospect in the middle of the first round, however.
18. Cleveland Browns
Record: 3-3
Previous Ranking: 16
Brandon Weeden is going to turned 30 this week. He was a first round draft choice less than two years ago. Tremendous decision.
17. San Diego Chargers
Record: 3-3
Previous Ranking: 20
It wasn’t pretty, but beating Andrew Luck and the Colts isn’t easy.
