Losing a home game to an up and coming team has happened before at Alabama. Is Ole Miss the next team?
What Ole Miss has going for it is a they are coming off a bye week and they have nothing to lose. What they have going against them is just about everything else. But Alabama does need to be a little more than concerned Saturday.
Alabama produced just 66 yards on the ground against Colorado State last week, and have averaged only 272 yards in the two non-Texas A&M games they’ve played. How much of that is purposeful game planning by Nick Saban? We’ll find out. But the inconsistency from Alabama this season does have to be a concern moving into Saturday’s game.
Still, Alabama should win and retain their spot atop the SEC West. It just won’t be easy to do this week.
