Next Week: vs TCU
Notre Dame helped kill the Sooners bid for a national title last season at Norman and will look to do so again in South Bend.
Oklahoma comes into the game with a quarterback controversy as Blake Bell has taken over for Trevor Knight as the starting quarterback. Bell looked good against Tulsa two weeks ago, but received a lot of help from his receivers racking up yards after the catch. Things won’t be quite as easy against Notre Dame, especially on the road.
Can Bell handle the pressure?
There has to be some level of doubt as Bell couldn’t beat out Knight over the summer to earn the starting quarterback job, and Knight looked average at best in his two starts. It would be interesting to see what Stoops decides to do if Bell struggles in the first half.
