14. Kentucky Wildcats

Record: 1-2

Previous Ranking: 14 (Trend: –)

Last Week: Louisville 27, Kentucky 13

This Week: Bye

Next Week: vs. Florida

Kentucky hung in there well against seventh-ranked Louisville, but hurt themselves too many times with turnovers and shaky quarterback play. But there has to be a sense of optimism about how the Wildcats have played the last two weeks. And while there is a certain loss coming their way this week against Florida, games against Mississippi State, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee seem more ripe for stealing than they were four weeks ago.

In Kentucky, that should be considered progress.

But for now, the next three weeks are going to be brutal: vs. Florida, at South Carolina, vs. Alabama. Good luck there.

Come away healthy and wiser, and maybe Kentucky comes back to surprise someone in the second half of the season.
