One day Baylor is going to play somebody good, and we’ll finally have a true idea of what this team is. The problem is they play in the Big 12, so we may not find out how good they are until bowl season, which would be a shame.

Baylor’s next four games after Monroe: West Virginia, Kansas State, Iowa State, Kansas. While Kansas State is very solid, Baylor is built to torch their secondary – as they did last season in Wacco. However, that game is on the road.

The best chance we have of knowing how good Baylor is will be in November when they have Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and TCU all in a row. There is a a good chance 200 total points may be scored in the Texas Tech game.

Until then, they are the best team in the country that no one is talking about.
