A week after defeating Washington State – who turned around and beat USC in their next game – Auburn notched win number two by rolling past Arkansas State.
Gus Malzahn got the victory over his former team by rushing for 301 yards on 50 attempts. Cameron Artis-Payne had 102 yards and touchdown, and Tre Mason added 99 yards and a touchdown to Auburn’s total. The simplistic offensive approach kept most of their offensive tricks in the bag going into SEC play this week.
They’ll need everything they can get in two weeks when the travel to LSU.
