LSU has looked the best of any team in the SEC so far this season, but it is hard to ranking them much higher because of the schedule that is still out in front of them.
Based on this power ranking, LSU plays five of the top seven schools, with the one they don’t play being themselves and South Carolina. They have road games against Georgia, Alabama, and Ole Miss they have to plow through before they get a home date with Texas A&M. The potential they’ll come out of that unscathed is low.
However, until those games happen, LSU should be considered the best team in the SEC to date.
