Previous Ranking: 9 (Trend: — )

Last Week: Bye

This Week: vs. Iowa

Next Week: Bye

Good news: Cyclones had a week off to prepare for in-state rival Iowa this coming Saturday.

Bad news: They  really needed two weeks off to prepare for in-state rival Iowa this coming Saturday.

ISU was embarrassed by Northern Iowa to begin the season, and clearly have a ton of issues to work out. Considering they came into the season perceived to be the worst team in the Big 12 this side of Kansas, there is not a ton of hope that the Cyclones can turn things around clearly.

Fortunately, the Hawkeyes are not exactly tearing things up either. They lost their opener to Northern Illinois, and beat Missouri State by just two touchdowns. Iowa’s defense has been a liability so far this season, so maybe the Cyclones can get things going against a struggling unit.
