Sporting Kansas City lept back into first place with a 3-0 victory over the Columbus Crew. Claudio Bieler, C.J. Sapong, and Sonny Saad each had one goal in the win. The win came without Matt Besler and Graham Zusi who were both away with team USA, and Peterson Joseph and Mechack Jerome were with the Haiti national team.
